Spain in the neck!

Hi all,

Following my recent adventures around Spain I thought I would add an Iberian feel to this week’s Whizz Kids skills session at Welland Park. Fortunately the weather had a Mediterranean feel so that got us all in the mood.

The session started with a Spanish Inquisition- or in our case a Helmet and bike check and then started the cycling by making a Paella. The four groups each represented an ingredient and as each joined the cooking pot a shout of “stir” started a one lap sprint.

We then worked in our two usual groups, adapting to a very busy park.

We rejoined again on the tennis court to finish of with some bullfighting with each kid charging a very dashing and brave matador to the gasps and cries of “OLE” from the crowd. After the second run the kids each received a gift of a FFWD drinks bottle generously donated by Tom at Extra UK.

Thanks to Kev, Ian, Jade and Sophie for your help.

See you soon.
