Each November Welland Valley CC has an awards evening to celebrate the success of members throughout the season. To be eligible for a riding award, the rider must be a first claim member of the club at the time of the relevant event and remain a member until the end of the season

A successful cycling club needs dedicated and thorough people to carry out the behind-the-scenes work that makes events happen safely and reliably.

Andy Poulton is one of those people.

His work over the last few years has ensured our time-trial events are managed professionally, with the resources needed to adapt to changes when required.

Well done, Andy — and I look forward to seeing who you choose for the award in 12 months’ time
