November News from BC

Toby Turner, our British Cycling regional sport developer is doing a good job of keeping us informed about what’s going on locally.

Here are some highlights from November’s newsletter

There is likely to be a course to train Accredited Marshalls (AMS)  in the new year.  Quite a lot of our members took part in last year’s course and now have the authority to stop traffic on races courses as they help to marshal races.   If that’s something you would be interested in doing too, get in touch with directly with Toby : TobyTurner@britishcycling.org.uk

There are also courses to become race officials and you can find out more here: Trainee Commissaire course (britishcycling.org.uk)

The Derby Arena Youth Track League is expanding. Entries will open late Dec on the BC website. Follow DAYTL on facebook to keep up with all that is going on.

Round 5 of the Leicestershire Cyclocross League which incorporates the East Midlands Regional Championships is being held very soon on Sun 3rd Dec. There’s a change to the venue and it’s now at the Leicestershire Showground just on the outskirts of Harborough – very handy to call in a take a look even if you’re not riding.
