‘One of the best in years’ was the verdict on the club’s 2023 Awards Night at Killworth Springs Golf Club on Saturday.

Around 50 Welland Valley members and friends / partners sat down for an excellent dinner; before being joined by more riders and supporters for the presentation of awards.

Leicestershire’s Tour de France Femmes rider, April Tacey, was guest of honour.

The 23-year-old rising star gave some fascinating insights into her life in the pro peloton

April then joined club chair Judith Rout in presenting trophies to award winners in the club’s TT, road and cyclocross competitions.
