Nine in November
How lovely it was to ride with eight other women – and what a wonderful group of women they are!
I’m talking about the Breeze ride on the afternoon of Remembrance Sunday. Never mind that it was cold, dank and murky, we were all out there, loving the cycling and enjoying each others company. You really couldn’t ask for more. The group included those who’ve been riding for many years, those who’ve been riding just a few years and those who’ve been riding for only a couple of months but everyone was supporting and encouraging each other. That’s the way to do it.

If you haven’t heard of Breeze rides, they were set up by British Cycling to encourage more women into cycling and in our area they seem to be doing the trick. Our group rides most Sunday afternoons and all women are welcome no matter what their level of ability on a bike or what type of bike they have.
