Boxing Day Biking
Get out of the house on Boxing Day and join the cycling fun. Our Boxing Day time trial attracts great numbers and we are keen to encourage the traditional “decorating” of cycles and riders.
All manner of cycles (and cyclists) are welcome, from tricycles to unicycles and from mountain bikes to fixies as well as the more usual road bikes and time trial bikes. There will be a prize for the best dressed bike/cyclist so don’t forget to decorate yourself and your bike as well as your Christmas tree.

Thanks to Robert Sulley for this wonderful photo of a WVCC Boxing Day time trial some years ago. The timekeeper is dressed as Old Father Time whilst the cyclist is resplendent as the fairy from the top of a Christmas tree.
The start time is 10am, which means there’s no need to get up early, and the event HQ is Church Langton village hall where hot mince pies and drinks will be served once you have ridden.
Spectators are welcome so bring your friends and family, or better still encourage them to ride too. You can also join in by signing up to marshal where you’ll have a ringside view of the proceedings and get to enjoy the mince pies without breaking a sweat.
