Committee Meeting 28 March 2022

The Club Committee held a short ‘catch up’ meeting yesterday to hear an update on June’s ‘Bruntingthorpe Festival of Cycling’, and also to discuss progress made following the Club’s recent letter to British Cycling.

Also at the meeting, John Welsford stepped down as the Club’s Vice Chair.  John is also Treasurer and Membership Secretary, and is focusing on serving the Club in these roles.  Judith Rout will be taking on the role of Vice Chair for the remainder of the year.

Jon Durnin, Club Chair, said “I am very grateful to John for his work as Vice Chair, his advice and guidance has helped the club navigate many challenges, and he will continue to superbly serve the membership as Treasurer and Membership Secretary.  I am delighted that Judith has agreed to take on the role of Vice Chair.  Judith’s passion for the Club, for cycling and for widening participation has made a big impression on both myself and the rest of the Committee, and I am looking forward to working closely with her across all the Club’s activities for the remainder of the year”.
