Five Welland Valley riders tackled the 3 Peaks cyclo-cross race on Sunday, the toughest and biggest Cyclo-Cross event in the UK.
Competing in what was his 17th 3 Peaks event, Dean Barnett trained hard all summer, getting into great shape and fired up to record his best time in 19 years.
Club mates Hans Van Nierop, who finished soon after Dean, and Nik Kershaw were entering the event for the first time, with Adrian Killworth entering for the ninth, and Steve Coulam for the second time.

All five have got the same 3 peaks bug – very well done to all for racing such an epic challenge.
