Round Robin #5 at Wolvey: What a scorcher!
It was ‘jam hot’ on the Wolvey course last night. Warmly welcomed by Hinckley CRC, 52 riders signed on, with the chatter being about the heat, whether the wind would be kind (not really), and how great it was to have so many riders for a club 10.
Oliver Searle (St Ives CC) was fastest on the night with a 20:53, with WVCC’s Milly Pinnock fastest female with 26:37, in a close battle with Linda Hubbard who finished 6 seconds behind, with an impressive return to form in an injury hit season.
Hans Van Nierop was the fastest WVCC rider with 22:12, followed by James Moore (who was telling this reporter just how much he is enjoying his testing return), and Jonathan Durnin, both in the 22s.
