Entry is open for Tour of the Langtons 2

After the gentle and civilised 5+5 TT, it’s a second chance for riders to tackle the challenge of the Tour of Langtons course.

  • Has it got a few hills? Yes it has.

  • Is it a bit tougher than a flat out and back 10? Probably, but hey…..

  • Is it great fun? Absolutely!

So get yourself signed up now (those from Fleckney and Houghton are particularly encouraged 😉)

It’s also another opportunity to enjoy tea and coffee, and of course Angela’s awesome cakes, have a chat and swap stories about the ride. Please can we all help with returning cups and plates to the kitchen, and a bit of help with the washing up would be greatly appreciated.

About the course

Particular attention to possible traffic needed at the first turn left at the crossroads at the top of West Langton hill. Take a precautionary or “high line” around bends in Church Langton and Tur Langton so that any traffic approaching from the rear has clear sight of you. After Tur Langton there is a well-surfaced but steep descent. The turn in Three Gates is sharper than 90 degrees, so again take care. The descent to the sharp left in Kibworth Harcourt is fast and parked traffic on the right as you enter the village makes the road narrow. Be mindful of parked cars and particularly of traffic coming towards you before you make the turn to the finish before Tur Langton.
