Queen Eleanor on a bike?

Kevin Millard, hero of the club run, has a cycling themed invitation for members and friends.

The Queen Eleanor cycle route links the locations of the 12 Eleanor crosses which Edward I erected in memory of his wife around 700 years ago.  The annual 200 mile ride starts in Lincolnshire and ends at Westminster Abbey. It raises money for The Connection, a charity aiming to end rough sleeping in London and at least two of our members have taken part.

Judith Rout will be speaking about the ride, intertwining  cycling, homelessness and Queen Eleanor, at a meeting of the Little Bowden Society. She’ll be bringing Alice, her bicycle, with her.   Visitors are very welcome at St Nicholas Church Hall, Rectory Lane, Little Bowden. The evening starts at 7.30pm and the admission price of £3 includes a hot drink.
