Vintage Jerseys

Forgive me for promoting the Oxfam shop but we’ve just had two rather special cycling jerseys donated that I think lots of members might be interested in.

The first is a navy and blue Santini wool mix, short sleeved jersey. I’m pretty sure it’s modern but designed to be “retro”.  It’s 50% wool, 50% acrylic and has washing instructions – that gives the game away rather as to it’s age! It appears to be size 2 which is small.  It’s 40cm (16″) across the unstretched chest and it’s long!

 

Definitely suitable for any gender if it’s the right size. It’s in excellent condition and looks as new.

I’m pretty sure the second jersey is genuine vintage and 100% merino wool but there isn’t a label saying what it’s made from. The condition isn’t quite so good. There is a very slight stain on the front and and little bit of piling of the fabric but overall it looks great.

This is size 3 which is medium. It’s 47cm (18.5″) across the chest and again it’s very long.
