AA Brown Road Race – Sunday 10th September – 10:00am

The AA Brown Road Race, sponsored by AA Brown Engineering Ltd, Market Harborough is the next ‘open event’ to be promoted by Welland Valley Cycling Club.

Moved from it’s traditional June date to Sunday 10th September to follow on from the successful club bunch races at Mallory Park. The cycling club see’s participation in the AA Brown RR as a natural stepping-stone for Welland Valley members to sample the competitive nature of a bunch race on the public highway.

The road race is for competitors with a 3rd or 4th British Cycling racing licence. A bonus for the first Welland Valley member is they will be awarded the annual AA Brown Trophy.

The 38-mile race is based on a dynamic 3-mile triangular circuit covered 13 times near Walton, Leicestershire. A great ‘bunch racing circuit’ and very spectator friendly for family and friends due to the number of laps.

Martyn and Vincent Brown, AA Brown Engineering Ltd have supported the event for over 3 decades. Organiser, Phil Rayner – “On behalf of Welland Valley Cycling Club I am very grateful to Martyn and Vincent Brown for their loyal support”

Pre-entries close on 3rd September, entry is via the following link.
