WVCC Off-Road 100 Miler #4 on 11 June

Our off-road endurance ride is back for its 4th edition on Sunday 11 June setting of from The Farndon Fields Farm Shop bridleway sign – What3Words ///shaky.remission.showcase – at 6.30am.

Our annual endurance off-road ride was originally born in lockdown in 2020 as there were no organised cycling events at the time. The first year saw a socially distanced group of 6 south west to the bottom of Borough Hill near Daventry. Year 2 saw a larger group head south east all the way to Irthlingborough. Last  year we headed north east to Belvoir Castle and the Grantham canal, returning via Rutland Water.

This year we are heading west to take in two castles – Warwick and Kenilworth. The planned route heads out to Draycote Water via Rugby through Leamington Spa to Warwick before turning north to Kenilworth and skirting the southern edge of Coventry before returning via Rugby again.

This will be an unsupported club ride for WVCC members and friends from other local clubs, so you will need to carry plenty of spares and have a plan for rescue if needed.

Please let us know if you’re coming on our off-road one day endurance adventure  via our WhatsApp group.

As ever, for off-road rides, we recommend some form of puncture protection such as tubeless tyres with sealant or self sealing inner tubes.
