Cold ride to Corby…and back

It was an early start for 22 riders on a cold Saturday morning. The 25 mile Kibworth-Corby-Kibworth TT for Round 6 of the Club Championship was started at 8am to avoid the worst of the traffic.
Gary Roberts was the fastest WVCC rider and the only rider under the hour at 58:42. Chris Orfeur was fastest on a road bike while Milly Pinnock was the fastest woman. Both Debbie Ward and Jane Moore completed their first 25 mile TTs in style.
It couldn’t have happened without George who ran sign on and all of the timing, and the marshals who stood out in the cold for a couple of hours. Richard Latimer and his whizz kid daughter helped to make an excellent chocolate cake and organised catering. Mike Ives’ provided the first class results service – thank you all.
