Have you thought about becoming an official?

Our club, and the whole sport of cycling, simply couldn’t exist without volunteers. You’ll almost certainly have volunteered for the club yourself, acting as a marshal, a timekeeper or a car park attendant.

If you’d like to develop your knowledge and skills, and get free BC membership as well, this could be what you are looking for.  Courses that enable you to become a commissaire or an accredited marshal are free with British Cycling and you can enrol here right now: Commissaire levels and training (britishcycling.org.uk)

I’ve just enrolled on the accredited marshal’s course that runs on Sat 25th February. What’s great is that it’s being held at Bruntingthorpe proving ground – almost home from home!
