What’s happening this week?

The short answer is “lots of cycling”.

But here’s the slightly longer answer…..

If you’ve a couple of hours to spare on Saturday, your help would be appreciated to help set up the course at Misterton.  Email Adrian (offroad@wellandvalleycc.co.uk) or turn up at Misterton at 11am to help with signage, mending tape, moving barriers etc.

At 2pm on Saturday the Whizz Kids will be using that Misterton course for the latest round of their racing league.

There’s a Breeze ride for novice cyclists at 2pm on Saturday too – see the Let’s Ride website for details.

The ever-popular club rides go from strength to strength on Sunday mornings with numbers still very high. Could that be due to the sunny weather we’ve enjoyed recently? Depart from the Square at 9.15am as usual.

It’s the latest round of the Leicestershire cyclo-cross league on Sunday at Misterton. This round is hosted by WVCC so if you’ve got an off-road bike of any sort, get yourself there and give it a go. There are races for every age group from under nine to over sixty and a separate race for women. Full details here: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/269424/Leicestershire-Cyclo-Cross-League-Rd-4

There’s a forty-mile guided ride on Tuesday morning.  Again, see the Let’s Ride website for further information.

To develop your off-road skills further, come along to Mudlarks on Wednesday evening from 7pm behind the leisure centre in Harborough.

There’s road riding again on Friday morning with a “steady” social club run leaving from the Square at 9.30am.

Bet you’re glad you asked!
