Whizz Kids 24th July
Hi Whizz Kids, as I write this we are waiting to see if Mark Cavendish manages to win his 35th stage in the Tour de France and I’m sure that after riding for three weeks around France he might be looking for a couple of easier days, which tenuously leads me into the next Whizz Kids session. I’m not available to run the session on Saturday so instead of a skills session there will be a family ride from Market Harborough up the Brampton Valley Way. The meeting point will be Britannia Way, opposite Sainsburys. There is a small car park on that side of the road and other parking across the street at the retail park, both are pay & display, or you could ride to the start.
The plans are to meet from 1:45pm with a roll-out at 2:00pm and I would expect that the ride will be for around 1 to 1½ hours, give or take, and it might be useful to find your lights for the tunnels. If you need a new light drop into Neil at George Halls Cycle Centre and see what he has for sale. The current forecast is for Sunny/cloudy/light showers so take your pick and dress accordingly.
As this is a family ride we encourage other family members to join the ride and enjoy a steady afternoon cycling in the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire countryside.
We’ll keep the booking page open until Friday evening just so we have an idea of how many riders will be joining us.  Booking for the family ride is at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040445ABAF2FABFC1-whizz18
Just a reminder that we are at Bruntingthorpe on Tuesday night for Roadrunner XXXI, there are spaces available on this session so if you fancy a couple of short sharp races get signed up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040445ABAF2FABFC1-whizz17
Enjoy the sunshine, see you soon
Kevin.
