Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends…!

Good Morning Whizz Kids, easy on the chocolate this morning!

After a bit of an extended Christmas weekend I’m pleased to be able to tell you that the belated first Whizz Kids session of the year will finally be taking place next Saturday, April 10th at Bruntingthorpe airfield, and it feels good to be back.

Working in partnership with Cox Automotive we will be running our session on the Go Kart track and we will be working on some skills and we might have a brief race to clear out the cobwebs at the end.

We are not clear of Covid yet and while we are permitted to restart activities we are still operating under some restrictions.  For the foreseeable future we will be using Sign-Up Genuis to book onto individual sessions and these will also have a limit on numbers at least for the rest of the spring.  The link to signing on will be sent to the contact Email address we have on file for you so if you want to join a Whizz Kids session and you haven’t registered please go to this link and complete the registration and consent form.  The booking form for this week will be sent out later this evening so you still have time to register.

Bruntingthorpe is a closed site and the request from the owners is that we limit the number of parents attending where possible, Ideally one per car.  All attendees, riders and parents will need to be temperature checked before being allowed on site as a matter of course.  For those of you who attended the sessions last year at Bruntingthorpe this is the system that worked well then.  Vaccine roll-out is continuing but If you have any symptoms such as a temperature or cough please do not attend the session.

So..dust off the bike and kit, get your mechanics to check them over this week and remember that Neil @George Halls Cycle Centre in Market Harborough will be able to supply any spares you need.

Look out for the email later today with the booking link and we are all looking forwards to starting a great summer of cycling next Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm.
