UPDATE – 10th May
Annette would like to thank Club Members for her card and flowers, and all the messages of support she has received. She is back at the hospital tomorrow, and will hopefully be finding out how long it will be before she gets back on her bike.
UPDATE – 7th May.
Can you help?
Ratae RC request.
Information required re Accident – Annette Roberts.
Yesterday and today, Annette has recalled more of the circumstances of her accident on Saturday in Walton Road, Kimcote.
It happened at about 11.09 am on Saturday the 5th May.
There were two vehicles that were being driven at the time in Kimcote towards Walton.
1. A dark grey van, described as a small “Royal Mail’ type van.
2. Another vehicle, No description. It was being driven close behind (1) above.
Are you able to provide any information re. these. Did you see anything near Kimcote that might have drawn your attention to remember these vehicles, eg manner of driving etc. If so – contact me directly, do not ‘post it’ on FB.
The matter has now been reported to the Police.
UPDATE – 6th May.
Annette and Carl are both overwhelmed by the messages of support.
Annette is stable, the doctors are waiting for the swelling to go down before further assessments.
Annette suffered a major crash this morning whilst contesting Ratae TT.
Carl would like to share the following message.
‘She has taken a big hit and has a number of fractures to her face and possibly her arms. She is currently in hospital with a view to surgery.’
Carl and Annette wish to thank the Ratae club members and the Welland Valley members who stopped to help and support in the aftermath of the event.
As you can expect Carl loads of people are trying to get in touch on his mobile, obviously a bit difficult to reply.
Updates will be provided on the FB page and website.
Wishing Annette a speedy recovery.
