Round 3 of the Whizz Kids racing league supported by Climate Care Systems was held this afternoon at the Market Harborough leisure centre in somewhat dire conditions. 24 hours of steady rain meant that the ground was completely waterlogged in many places. This also meant that the original course plans had to be amended to avoid too much damage to the surface but coursemaster Dean created a testing circuit around the lumps and bumps which gave the event it’s name. Each rider had the opportunity for three races, two short and one longer test of endurance and there was some superb racing and efforts, especially by some of the younger riders who struggled with the conditions. Results will follow later but thanks to our young volunteers Jade and Will, to Dean and Ian. It was also good to see some returning Whizz Kids which also meant we could finally hand over trophies for the 2017 series to Frazer, Beau and Flynn. I hope everyone is dry and warm by now, the next session has sunshine guaranteed (maybe). See you soon .
