Next up – the final Round Robin, and the Walcote 25
It’s another TT-tastic in the Valley this week!
Our friends Rockingham Forest Wheelers host the final round of the Round Robin TT series on Wednesday 26 August on the Caldecott Course.
As well as being part of the Round Robin series, this event is Round 24 of WVCC’s 2026 TT Championship…..so there are Club points to be had for all that ride, as well as Round Robin series positions and standings.
The event is open for entries, with the first rider off at 18:45. Make sure you leave 20 minutes to get to the start.
You need to enter at:
Rocko are using the Cycling Time Trials website to manage entry, and you have to enter online. Riders need a CTT account to do this.
HQ is at Rocko’s Clubhouse in Middleton (Ashley Road, Middleton LE16 8YP). The course starts and finishes in Caldecott via Rockingham, Gretton and Harringworth, and riders are encouraged to enjoy the pizza truck and some refreshments afterward at the clubs licensed bar
Sunday 30th August sees the Walcote hardrider 25 TT to Harborough and back.
It is Round 25 of the club TT Championship, the final (of 3) hard rider TTs of the season, and the Timson Cup is also up for grabs for the fastest rider on handicap. HQ is Walcote Memorial Hall, Frank’s Rd, Walcote (LE17 4JX)
First rider off at 9 am.
Online entry closes Friday evening at 9pm (yes you can sign on at HQ, but the TT team prefer Sign Up Genius to plan the event efficiently). If you sign up and then find you cannot do it, please let us know, as the cost of tippex has gone up.

Please can we all help with returning cups and plates to the kitchen, and a bit of help with the washing up would be greatly appreciated.
The Walcote 25 is a quiet if challenging rolling rural course with particular care needed at turns.

Pace judgment is essential as the course has a variety of drags which outstay their welcome . The sharp first turn left in Husbands Bosworth is onto a narrow one-way street, with traffic likely to be parked on the left so care is needed. The second turn (onto Pincet lane) is very very sharp and riders will need to to take this slowly to avoid being on the wrong side of the road. At North Kilworth the left turn needs attention to traffic coming from the Lutterworth direction. From here the course undulates west to the small roundabout at the top of Lubenham Hill (care) and then returns eastwards to Walcote; in both directions riders MUST stop at the pedestrian controlled crossing in Husbands Bosworth if the light is red. NB. Marshalls will be instructed to disqualify anyone who contravenes the highway code.
