Rocko take the Open, WVCC the Women’s – report from Sunday’s Interclub TT
A select number of WVCC testers lined up against our friends from Rockingham Forest Wheelers and Kettering CC to contest the InterClub competitions on Sunday (21/6).
Riders lined up from 8 am on a new and challenging Corby – Harborough – Corby course. With an extension to the Rockingham roundabout, and some new surface dressing, it was a mix of the new and familiar, with both fast sections and challenging times.
Rocko’s Alex Barrowman was fastest with 1:01:34 on a road bike, followed by club mate Graeme Hall and Welland’s Maciej Suchoki in third.
Millie Pinnock was fastest women with 1:08:01.
Rockingham Forest Wheelers took the Open honours, and Welland Valley CC took the Women’s trophy, congratulations!
Thanks to Phil Wilkinson and all the timekeepers and volunteers from Rocko, and the very warm welcome. We go again next year!
