Startsheets for the Walcote ‘InterClub’ 25 mile TT

First rider off at 9 am, the HQ (Walcote Village Hall,  LE17 4JX) will be open from 8 am.

It’s a new course from Walcote to Harborough and back, with a twist, to decide the honours.  It is also a TT Championship scoring round, a qualifying round of the ‘hardriders’ award, and the Timson Cup is also up for grabs for the fastest rider on handicap.

The Walcote 25 is a quiet if challenging rolling rural course with particular care needed at turns.

Pace judgment is essential as the course has a variety of drags which outstay their welcome . The sharp first turn left in Husbands Bosworth is onto a narrow one-way street, with traffic likely to be parked on the left so care is needed. The second turn (onto Pincet lane) is very very sharp and riders will need to to take this slowly to avoid being on the wrong side of the road. At North Kilworth the left turn needs attention to traffic coming from the Lutterworth direction. From here the course undulates west to the small roundabout at the top of Lubenham Hill (care) and then returns eastwards to Walcote; in both directions riders MUST stop at the pedestrian controlled crossing in Husbands Bosworth if the light is red. NB. Marshalls will be instructed to disqualify anyone who contravenes the highway code.
