Kibworth TT results: blustery, miserable, strangely quick….
Only 13 of 17 scheduled starters (2 timekeepers and 4 marshalls) braved gloomy skies, the threat of rain and blustery crosswinds in the rehomed Kibworth 10.
Curiously, the wind did not depress times for most, with several course PBs and season’s bests registered by riders.
Hans Van Nierop was quickest with a rapid 21.40 with a newly lean-looking Maciej Suchocki beating a newly lean -looking Matt Plews by just 2 seconds (22.40 to 22.42).
Chris Dainty (also lean) was fastest roadbike and Charlie Hardwicke took the Juvenile honours.
Thanks as ever to our marshalls, pusher-off, Peter and George with the watches and Angela with fabulous tea and cake – particularly enjoyed by this correspondent (not so lean).
A special thankyou to Mike Ives for turning around the results so quickly and for speedily feeding the data into the various tables and the newly minted*
*Thanks to Jon Durnin for his sterling work on the league allocations.
Hope to see you on Sunday at the Kibworth 25!
