‘Oof……that was a tough one!’
Tonight saw riders take on the first ever ‘Tour of the Langtons’ 10 mile, and it certainly was a ‘sporting’ course. It is always tough to introduce new courses, so it’s a big ‘well done’ to TT Secretary Andy Poulton for getting this one to the start line.
Riders gave a special welcome to Vic Foster, who came along to chat to Club Historian Peter Riley. Vic has lots of insights, leads and pictures that Peter is looking forward to following up for the Centenary Club History update. Thanks Vic for taking the time to pop in and share stories.
So, to the racing……28 riders signed on, and it was Hans Van Nierop who was again fastest on the night with 24:12. Jamie Kershaw was fastest road bike with 25:01, and Ruby Isaac was fastest woman with 28:30.
Special mention for Whizz Kid Charlie, who produced a cracking ride on his first time trial, it was great to see his huge smile after the event!
It was great to see guests from Ratae RC and Rockingham Forest Wheelers race tonight too, some great rides.
Well done all.
