Ratae RC spring series wrap up, and sending best wishes to Phil

Welland Valley CC riders enjoyed the fourth and final 10 mile TT in the Ratae RC’s Gilmorton Early Season series.

Incorporating ‘The Leveller’, 41 riders took to the start line on a cold but sunny day, with a kinder wind than in previous weks.  Fastest overall was Will Perrett (DAS Richardson) with 21:39, and fastest women was Megan Cherry (Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco) with 25:51.  Both riders were winners of ‘The Leveller’

Regarding WVCC riders, Jonathan Durnin (24:33) just pipped a rampaging Jamie Kershaw on  (24:35 on a road bike).  Matt Plews (25:17), Nik Kershaw (25:40, RB), Roger Kockelbergh (27:03) just pipped Stuart haycox (27:08), Milly Pinnock (28:16 RB, and second fastest woman), Simon Ward (28:26) and Chris Hyde (28:35).

Thanks to all our friends at Ratae RC who ran and supported another very well organised event.

Finally, everyone across the local cycling community sends best wishes for a full recovery to Phil Rayner, who not wanting to be outdone by Linda, recently added a broken collarbone to his palmares.
