Whizz Kids Hill Climb
Hi Whizz Kids, We are back in action on Saturday afternoon for the annual Hill Climb which forms part of the Alden Electrical Whizz Kids Racing League. As in the past few years our hill-climb takes place at Foxton Locks and we’ll be racing up the hill that used to be the road to the wharf, but is now a bridleway. We are also opening the event to Youth Development riders as well as parents too. Last year we ran a generation two-up and we’ll have a look again given sufficient numbers to challenge Jon and Nate.
The event will be run as a time trial, your fastest time of the day will count for league points, there is no limit on the amount of attempts on the hill so if you get slowed by other users just take a breather and have another go.
We meet near the Foxton Locks Lower Carpark, I’ll put out a couple of signs to direct you from the carpark to the bottom of the hill, which is at What3Words ///labs.fenced.preparing. Carpark is pay and display and currently costs £3.50 for 4 hours.
If you do park at the top of the locks, or cycle in if you are local then please use the road down to the bottom carpark, it is important that you Do Not ride the towpath alongside the locks. Meet up from 1:45ish, booking details will be sent to registered riders tonight. Don’t forget your bike, helmet and drinks and first rider away after the course inspection will be just after 2:00pm. See you on the hill on Saturday.
