No Gibbet? No problem! Cambridge CC 25 TT report

Welland Valley CC testers tackled the Cambridge CC  25 mile TT on Sunday, at the F2C/25 course near Cambourne.
An adapted course presented a new challenge to riders, with the course being two and a half laps, turning three times at Cambourne rather than twice at the daunting Caxton Gibbet, and there was much discussion about whether it would still be quick.  It would have been if not for the wind.
A strong field and a very well organised event, riders faced a strong headwind out, and tail back.  JD started early, and the hypothesis that conditions got tougher as the morning progressed remains unproven and a topic of ongoing debate….. as does the prospective conditions for the TT on same course this coming Saturday.
Gary Ashwell – 1:04:27
Jonathan Durnin – 56:21
Matt Plews – 57:24
Simon Ward  – 1:05:15
