Life is a Picnic

On Saturday eight eager Whizz Kids and eight equally eager adults (I am including Mrs Durnin in the eager part) met in Harborough for our Family ride and picnic and as you have probably guessed a game to keep everyone on their toes.

Splitting into two teams captained by Nate and Rory the peloton rode out looking to each collect one piece of of a jigsaw placed out on the the Brampton Valley Way and once complete return to me. For my part as judge, I went to Bowden park and had half an hours sleep!

I was surprised when both team sprinted neck and neck to the finish however Rory’s squad had missed a piece so Nate’s team took the honours and the premium cakes.

The mizzle stayed away and sun even came out for a spell ensuring a great end to the ride.

Thanks to Kev and Jon for the safe guarding rolls and all the parents for support.

Next up is Ride for Rosemary at Misteron with details to follow.

See you soon.
