URGENT Time to sign up for Mallory races!

The first (and what could be the last !!!!!!) of the club’s Mallory Race Nights is just over a fortnight away.

The races attracted fields of 50+ in 2023; but so far there are just 14 entrants for the 2024 series.

Staging the event has seen the club make a significant up-front investment in hiring the Mallory circuit. Unfortunately, the series will not be repeated in future years if numbers remain low.

The dates for your diary are all Thursday nights – July 11 and 25, and August 8 and 22.

All the races are organised on a handicap basis and are open to riders of all speeds and experience.

Winners in 2023 came from the quickest group (twice) and the slowest group (twice).

The 1.35 mile Mallory track is ideal for both experienced and novice racers; with a silky-smooth surface, sweeping bends and the widest of tracks.

Races start at 7.30pm and are a maximum 60 minutes’ duration. The circuit is open from 6pm for warm-up laps,

Welland Valley members can purchase a Mallory season ticket for just £30, which covers all four races..

The season ticket offer ends on Thursday, July 4.

Payment should be made to the club bank account – sort code 30 95 96, acc no. 17673460.

Entry is via SignUpGenius (live link  here).

Individual entry on the night will be £12.50. Juniors (14-18) can race for free.

All riders will require a TLI licence – available from TLI Cycling (iive link here).

The Mallory Race Nights got rave reviews in 2023, so please sign up asap to secure your place on the startline in 2024.
