Ride for Oxfam
Not a race or a time trial or even an official club event; instead this is a social ride with cycling friends and the offer of scrummy homemade cake. Loads of folk took part last year on a lovely sunny spring day. This year, we’re going to have to wait till high summer for the warmth but put Sunday 7th July in your diary because the Ride for Oxfam is back.
There are two rides available, a gentle ride for novices of around 10 miles and a longer 30 mile route kindly led by Sophia. Both rides start and end at 44 Fairfield Road at 1.30pm where tea and homemade cake will be served in the garden (only after you’ve ridden!) in return for a donation to the vital work of Oxfam.
If that’s not to your liking, you’re welcome to do your own thing and meet up at the end of your ride to enjoy the company and cake.
Thank you for your support
Judith
