New Away Kit

Following recent confusion in a number of competitive events where multiple riders allegedly entered wearing near indistinguishable kit British Cycling have concluded that the current process of agreeing kit design and colours on a regional basis does not cater for the growing trend of riders competing outside of their home areas. After considerable debate (including opposition from Welland Valley Cycling Club) British Cycling have asked that all clubs design and make available alternate kit to be used when riding out of area. Race organisers will be given a new role of assessing likely kit colour clashes and notify racers prior to events if home or away kit should be worn. British Cycling accept that it will take time to supply and finance new kit so have agreed to delay introduction until 25/26 race season starting on 1st April

Foolish though this policy may seem WVCC committee have settled on an appropriate kit design for those wish to race outside of area we can unveil today. For safety reasons our new away kit will only be available as combined jersey and short package (race suit / skinsuit) with prices/order details will being announced in the next few weeks. To help us gauge demand for the new away kit we ask if members could let us know in the comments box if they intend to race out of area and would therefore like to be included in any such kit order.
