Spring is here, spring is here

Life is skittles, life is beer…

…except of course for all you dedicated testers out there, eschewing trivial pleasures, comforts and fatty foods as our new TT season draws near. Months of dedicated training  – or at least thinking about it – are about to come to fruition.

Yes, our  Club Championship begins on Sunday 24th March with the Medbourne 9.5 mile hardride.

9.5 mile Hardride details

HQ is Medbourne village hall. Sign on from 08.00, first rider off at 09.00.

You can sign on for this and for other club events either at Sign UP Genius  (preferred) or at the venue.

If you’re new to the club or thinking about time-trialling for the first time, this is a great introduction to competitive riding (it’s not even 10 miles!) and a chance to enjoy a sense of real achievement mixed with profound breathlessness.

You just need a bike, a helmet, front and rear lights and a payment card.

Entry prices, our TT schedule and Championship rules are on our 2024 TT Championship Page.

This is the first of 20 rounds in our TT championship. There will be old favourites but also new courses and events this year, including roadbike 2-ups at Lubenham and a 5+5 double dip to replace our 1m+10mile event.

Thanks in advance to all of you who have agreed to marshall this year. You make these events possible. There are still slots which need volunteers. You can sign up here: Marshalling rota

Good luck and stay speedy and safe in the coming year.
