Something every cyclist should do….

Something every cyclist should do, even if it’s only once, is ride the boards at a velodrome. So long as you can ride a bike, the instructors will soon have you flying!

We have booked Derby velodrome for a two hour club session on 9th March 2pm to 4pm (so you can get home to watch the rugby!). There will be two coaches to support the session which allows us to have a novice group and a group for riders who are accredited or have sufficient track experience (maximum 16 of each).

Don’t be nervous! Track cycling is great fun and the coaches are expert and getting people up and running on a fixed gear bike. They are also great people. The two hour session will cost  £20 per person and you will need to pay this when you sign up.

You will probably also need to hire a track bike which will cost  £14.95 for the session (payable at Derby on the day). The track bikes use Look Keo pedals so you can use your own shoes if you ride these; otherwise shoe hire is £7.20 for the session (also payable at Derby on the day)

Remember to include your height for bike hire and shoe size for shoe hire.  The £20 should be transferred to the WVCC bank account – please put “velodrome” as the reference
