Cake goes with cycling like ….well, any other pairing you can think of really. And it goes without saying that a time trial really needs to be finished off with a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake.

So the club is looking for a Refreshments Supremo or a Cake Czar to organise refreshments at time trials and possibly road races too. If you have a penchant for coffee and walnut or if you are a frustrated baker, maybe you are the person we are looking for?

To be clear, is there anyone out there (including non-members) who would be happy to take on the job of obtaining and serving refreshments at the end of WVCC races?

It could be that you love baking and a group of hungry cyclists would be just the thing to help devour what you cook. There’s no need for the cake to be homemade though, it could be that you’d be happy to organise refreshments and would take on purchasing the cake. Or maybe it could be a double act?

Whatever the case, you would be fully recompensed for all expenses and you’d have earnt the life-long gratitude of WVCC cyclists.
