Forget about Radio 2 in the Park, Cyclocross is Coming
League registration and the first three events for the Leicestershire Cyclocross League are now live for entry on British Cycling. Come on Kylie, Chrissie & Jessie give it a try – there’s a separate women’s race. Rick, James & Sharleen you don’t need a cyclocross bike, you can use your MTBs. Beverley, Mick & Mark your gravel bikes will be fine.
There are some exciting changes to the fee structure this season to make it a bit cheaper for families and encourage league membership:
- Firstly, league membership for under 18s now costs 1p + the BC admin fee of £1 and there is now a new Non Racing Supporter Membership of £5 which will go towards critical race infrastructure as the league continues to grow. Over 18 racing membership remains £10.
- Secondly there is a new fee structure.

This season the LCXL is promoting 8 events, this includes the East Midlands Cyclo-Cross Championships.
OCTOBER
1st – WELLAND VALLEY CYCLING CLUB – Marston Lodge, nr Market Harborough.
8th – ROCKINGHAM FOREST WHS – Weldon Country Park, nr Corby.
15th – LEICESTERSHIRE ROAD CLUB – Western Park, Leicester.
22nd – WELLAND VALLEY CC – Misterton Hall, nr Lutterworth.
DECEMBER
3rd – LCXL – EAST MIDLANDS CX CHAMPIONSHIP – Beaumont Park, Leicester. – Average Points for all LCXL riders contesting the League.
JANUARY 2024
7th – WELLAND VALLEY CC – Misterton Hall, nr Lutterworth
21st – LEICESTER FOREST CC – Beaumont Park, Leicester.
28th – COALVILLE WHS CC – Cattows Farm, nr Ibstock.
