Cycling Skills Week Two

Cycling Skills Week Two
Over 25 young cyclists in two groups sharpened their skills on Monday evening. The older group focussed on moving dismounts and remounts and handling the bike in between. Great to see the newer cyclists really grasping the concept and the “rust” coming off those with more experience.
Those younger worked on control using their brakes and then moved on to taking a cone whilst moving. They practised their other skills by changing gear when moving up a bank and being aware of their surroundings.
“A really positive bunch, ready to learn and apply themselves” reports coach Mark. “I’m looking forward to getting deeper into green spaces next week and taking on some terrain challenges”
Big thank you to all the coaches from KCC and WVCC, Mark Evans, Charlie Stockham, Jane Evans and Fran Bell. Thanks too to Rowland Bell for setting up the course and to Sophia Gowers for the photos.
