Lubenham 10- the return

Thanks to Andy Poulton for the super report on this morning’s time trial.

A select band of early-bird testers tackled the Lubenham 10 roller-coaster on Sunday morning in good, almost windless conditions which led to generally improved times compared with the evening event on this course in May. (Perhaps being overtaken by Cadillacs and other loud automotive exotica headed for Market Harborough also inspired the competitors.)

Jen Clegg was fastest woman overall in 27.03 with Millie Pinnock second and Sophie Ward third.  In the road bike category, Milly Pinnock was fastest woman and Richard Krause fastest man.

Jon Durnin continued his excellent form to win overall in an impressive 23.42. while Phil Rayner and Andy Poulton took a short break from moaning about the deleterious effects of aging to finish second and third.
As ever thanks to all our marshals and timekeepers and a special shout-out to George who added much appreciated  impromptu catering to his many other duties.
