Whizz Kids Easter Ride
Over a dozen Whizz Kids and parents had a really enjoyable run out this afternoon up the Brampton Valley Way and as usual the ride got strung out as soon as we left the neutralised zone at Little Bowden crossing. The plan was to ride for an hour and then turn back for home. Daniel and Richard made the early breakaway and coach Kev decided to bridge the gap and join them at the front. later Charlie and Alex also made the jump across so it was a group of five who turned at Hanging Houghton crossing. Unfortunately the effort of catching the leaders earlier took it’s toll on the coach as the riders climbed Mont Kelmarsh for the second time and it was a tired ride back to Harborough as the Lantern Rouge however the ride was finished just inside of the 2 hour limit. I assume everyone had a good afternoon, as last rider home everyone else had headed away before I rolled in. Oh well. Overall it was a 28km ride
