Whizz Kids Saturday report

Good afternoon Whizz Kids, apologies for the rather late report on yesterday’s skills session at Welland Park. The eighteen Whizz Kids managed to just about dodge the showers during the session but the cool northerly wing made for a chilly afternoon so as much as possible we kept the riders moving where we could across the three coaching zones. With a couple of coaches away for half term we split into two groups, based roughly on the number of gears. Kevin and Jade worked with the single speeders on the tarmac while Simon and Ian coached a fair amount of sprints, both within the ride and also at the start and chequered flag end of a race on the oval and sprint course.

Thanks go out to Ian, Jade and Simon for leading our session and to the parents for your support and riders who make clearing up so straightforward when it’s home-time.

Our next session is on March 11th and it’ll be the first round of the 2023 Whizz Kids Racing League series with a collection of short races on the go kart track up at Bruntingthorpe, I’ll send more details when the booking form goes live next week.
