Results: Bruntingthorpe Race Night 4 and overall

The final round of Bruntingthorpe saw 42 riders take to the aerodromes concrete expansion joints to race for the final glories of the season, trying to break off the front or simply wishing you’d stayed a home with a glass of wine 🙂

Race 1

Attacking from the start Race1 saw Carl Dyson solo for 50min to take the win with Josh van Nierop and Chris Orfeur leading the chasing pack.

  • Sprint1 Winners = Carl Dyson & Gary Roberts
  • Sprint2 Winners = Chris Orfeur & James Moore

 Race 2

Following the most competitive race of the season Jamie Kershaw, fresh from the youth tour, effortlessly popped off the front and stayed away for a well-deserved win. Austin Smith made an early break on the final lap for a well earned second with Nick Clarke winning the bunch sprint for third. Until next year Gentleman

 Race 3

A supercharged Race3 saw a season first win for John Abbott followed by last races winner Gary Ashwell followed by Denis Smith.

  • Sprint1 Winners = John Abbott & Gary Ashwell
  • Sprint2 Winners = Denis Smith & Ben Brant

Series Winners

  • Race1 = Carl Dyson
  • Race2 = Austin Smith (with special mention for Steve Coulam)
  • Race3 = Denis Smith
  • Overall Senior = Denis Smith
  • Overall Women = Ellie Humphries (with special mention for Kamila LÄ™ska)
  • Overall Youth = Jamie Kershaw
