Whizz Kids in August

Hi Whizz Kids. We are continuing at Bruntingthorpe for the Roadrunner series of races throughout the month with the final event on August 30th.  This is on Tuesday evenings at 6:45pm.  Booking is essential as we need to let the site know who is coming beforehand..  If you are looking to ride tomorrow and you haven’t booked please do so ASAP as I’ll be sending the rider list across later tonight. Booking information is being sent to registered riders about now.

Saturday August 13th  is the next round of the Whizz Kids Racing League and it’s the Foxton Locks hill climb.  There are a few things to note for this session.  We will be riding the bridal path from Foxton bottom lock up to Foxton Village. and it’s a time trial event with riders going against the clock.  Results will be in the age groups.  The event will be signed from the bottom lock and we’re near the bottom car park.  Parking is pay and display so bring cash just in case the card facility isn’t working.  If you can’t park at the bottom lock additional parking is at the top of the lock flight but it’s a bit of a trek down.  If you do park here please note there is no cycling on the towpath next to the locks so you’ll have to walk or ride down the road to the bottom carpark. in either case please take care, it’s likely to be pretty busy near the locks.   First Rider is away just after 2pm and riders can have as many attempts on the hill during the session.  It is a shared path so you’ll have to give way to walkers and horses should we meet any

August 27th is the annual Ride for Rosemary event at Misterton and we’ll be running a Whizz Kids event in conjunction with this, more details to follow.
