It’s time to book your place at the first-ever Bruntingthorpe Festival of Cycling.

Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 are the dates for your diary.

Admission is FREE and the festival promises to be a great family day out on two wheels in a traffic-free environment.

Day one of the Festival sees the airfield open for skills sessions and Bikeability training for young riders. There will also be group riding lessons, an off-road adventure course, bike maintenance sessions and the chance to raise money for charity by doing sponsored laps of the airfield circuit.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to test ride a fleet of electric bikes – courtesy of Leicestershire County Council.

Day two of the Festival is for more experienced cyclists, with Welland Valley organising a 10 mile time trial on the airfield circuit, followed by the AA Brown Circuit Race.

The event is run by Welland Valley Cycling Club in partnership with Bruntingthorpe operators Cox Automotive .
