A beautiful sunny day, predicted to be the hottest day of the year; what better conditions for a time trial. A southerly wind was fairly neutral, easterly would have been more favourable.
On the stroke of 7PM the first rider and the rain started simultaneously, enough to make the fast bends slippery.
Despite the conditions some impressive times were posted, with over 40 riders taking to the start.
Dominic Switzer (22:37) took the win, and was the fastest WVCC rider, Ellie Humphries (26:17) on a road bike was fastest woman while Chris Orfeur (24:47) was fastest on a road bike.
Guest rider Jordan Peacock (Spirit BSS) recorded the fastest time of the night, 21:53.
Well done everybody, and thanks to the volunteers who made it all happen both on the night and behind the scenes.
