Committee Meeting 25 April 2022

The Club Committee met in person for the first time in over two years on Monday.  There was much to discuss, including an update on final preparations for the Welland Valley Sportive in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Market Harborough and Thomas’s Fund (21 May) and progress being made towards the Bruntingthorpe Festival of Cycling in June.

Also discussed was the recent introduction of Breeze Rides, and further ways in which the Club can boost participation in cycling, and the Committee endorsed a policy pulling together the Club’s Safeguarding responsibilities into one document.

At the meeting, Jon Durnin  announced that Claire Waterfield would be standing down with immediate effect.  The Committee thanked Claire for all her support for WVCC over many years, and looks forward to seeing Claire at events soon.  Judith Rout has taken on the New Members Secretary role, and Eleanor Humphries has been co-opted onto the Committee.
