TT Championship 2022: Results and scoring
After three rounds, the 2022 TT Championship is in full flow. WVCC is most grateful to Mike Ives for the results system he has developed, and each year we challenge Mike to come up with new solutions to managing our results. It’s a superb resource, and one we should be very grateful to enjoy.
At this stage, it is worth reminding riders of the competitions, and how you qualify.
Your “scoring 11” is the total from your best 11 contributing events. Contributing events must include two events which are not standard 10 mile TTs. Until you have met this requirement, your “scoring 11” value will remain at zero.
These events are:
- 13th March 9.5 mile TT, Medbourne
- 27th March 20 mile TT, Medbourne
- 10th April 25 mile TT, Kibworth
- 29th May 25 mile TT, Kibworth (plus Armstrong (scratch) and Hunter (handicap) Cups)
- 6th July 25 mile TT, Middleton (Interclub, plus Timson Cup (handicap))
- 10th July Flying Mile & 10 Mile TT, Kibworth
- 4th September Hill Climb, Medbourne
- 9th October Flying 5 mile TT, Church Langton
This is across the seniors, vets, womens, juniors, juveniles, road bike categories, and the Cox Automotive Leagues.
There will also be ‘Tens’ Championship’ for best performances in all the 10 mile TTs (the Barry Marshall Trophy and related awards, and the Nev Brooks Memorial Handicap trophy). This will be based on the best 7 scores from the 13 tens being run this year.
Finally, Jon Durnin and Tim Smith will be allocating riders to the Cox Automotive Leagues after the fifth TT (and not the fourth as previously advertised) to ensure riders are as accurately allocated as possible.
