Dom-ination! 40 tackle the ‘hardest of hardrides’ at the Langton 10
Wowsers that was tough!
40 riders lined up for the third ‘hardride’ of the year, and the third round of WVCC’s Club Championship. The start of the evening 10’s always feels like the first day of a new term, but as riders turned at Medbourne they realised they were in for a tough night, facing a leg sapping headwind for the second half of the race.
Dom-inating the filed was Dominic Switzer, stopping the clock at 24:56, an outstanding ride in the conditions. Max Hale was second, 26.05 and fastest road bike, and Phil Rayner was third with 26.10.
Fastest woman was Linda Hubbard, and Alex Smith was fastest juvenile.
Special mentions to juvenile riders Flori Switzer and Ruby Issac, both riding their first 10 mile TTs tonight.
The next race is the return of the Kibworth 25, next Sunday. First rider off at 9 am, sign up here.
Thanks as always to all the volunteers for helping to make the event run smoothly (George, Pauline, Peter, John, Chris, Sally, Sheelagh, Bill, Matt and Nate organising the numbers).
