Whizz Kids report – May 22nd

Good morning Whizz Kids, firstly apologies for the late report from yesterday but I had a few internet issues last night and was offline. Anyway, enough of that. We enjoyed a cracking session yesterday with 35 Whizz Kids signed on despite the session starting in a bit of a deluge, but as planned the sun came out later that led to an enjoyable afternoon polishing the skills. Working in three groups the older riders working a pair of zones that focused on bike control and gear management , a task made more challenging by the wet grass and reinforced the Green is Good message. The second zone was the oval where bunch riding and team pursuiting were worked. The younger single speeders stayed on the tarmac around the park with plenty of traffic lights, puddle splashing and pop-up skills.
Thanks to Simon Ben, Ian and Jade for running the session with me and to the parents for the encouragement, some of you even got a free workout chasing the single speeders around the park.
The next session in three weeks time should have been the carnival ride but as this is cancelled again we’ll have to put this on hold until next year. We will have a session on June 12th and I’ll send out details nearer the time.

We’ll see you soon!
