Hi Whizz Kids, hope you’re enjoying the long weekend, let me tell you what’s happening this week. Normally we start each season with a couple of family rides but as the start of the year was cancelled the family rides didn’t take place. We are putting this right next Saturday when we will be holding a Trailquest at Misterton Hall, near Lutterworth. For those of you who haven’t ridden this type of event it is essentially orienteering on bikes. You will be given a map and record card, across the grounds there will be a number of checkpoints that you need to find and record. There is a time limit and some checkpoints are worth more than others so you have to plan well. This is a family event so parents are welcome (and encouraged) to join in with the younger riders and have a bit of fun riding in the grounds.
The event is within the grounds of Misterton Hall which is just outside Lutterworth on the A4304 near to M1 Junction 21, it will be signed from the main road. Please don’t arrive too early ahead of registration and rider briefing which will be at 2:00pm, then you’ll be riding shortly afterwards.
That’s it really, the booking form will be sent out later to allow registered Whizz Kids to book onto the session. Stay safe and we’ll see you on Saturday.
